Researchers and scientists working on Kurdish tribes in the Eastern Anatolia region frequently request the names of villages inhabited by the Gêloî (Geloylu) tribe from me. To assist their scientific studies, I am providing a list of the Gêloî tribe's villages below. Some names refer to hamlets, which are neighborhoods of a village and thus fall under the same headman (muhtar). For example, Karahisar is a neighborhood or hamlet of Taşlıca village. Villages like Maksozillo and Atıcı have been evacuated for security reasons, but there is a high potential for these villages to become settlements again in the future. Note: A portion of the Geloylu tribe is of Azeri origin. For instance, Karakoyun village in Tuzluca is an Azeri village, but its inhabitants belong to the Geloylu tribe.
